Delta Heroes Scholarship

Awarded to first-time graduate students who:
- Law enforcement (including related staff members), Teachers (K–12 and office staff) and First responders (firefighters, EMTs, etc.)
- Degree-seeking
- Resident of Mississippi
- Enroll in at least 6 credit hours per semester
- Attend consecutive semesters
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Applicant must submit the following:
1) Completed FAFSA
2) Job verification form (All information below must be included on the form uploaded when you apply)
- Form must be on employer letterhead
- Student’s Name
- Student’s ID Number
- Company Name
- Supervisor’s Name
- Supervisor’s Title
- Supervisor’s Contact Information
- Hire Date
- End Date, if applicable
- Full-time or Part-time Employee Status
- Job Title
- Supervisor’s Signature and Date

Notes: -Application deadline August 1st
-This is a last-dollar scholarship up to the cost of tuition.
– Nurses are not eligible.
– Readmits are not eligible.
– Employment verification must be updated and submitted to grad-info@deltastate.edu at the beginning of each semester for renewal.
– Renewable until degree is complete
– If you re-enroll for a new program post completing the first graduate program, you will not be eligible.
